Number of laps

So today i saw several rooms that announced like 20 laps or 20 rounds either in the lobby description or when you were waiting for the race to start and then once you're in the race the actual real number of selected laps shows (which was not 20), first time seeing this, both in arcade and sim modes not sure about others.

it's not an update , it shows 20 laps when the real number of laps isn't 20 and then it changes back to the real number, the update refers to the max number of laps being updated to 20 laps which is different from the room showing the wrong number of laps

It's level dependent also on how many laps you can have. But it has been updated as lots of maps would only allow you 1 - 2 laps max!.... It's been updated now so you can have a 20 lapper hardcore/endurance race. Also you may be a bit confused because when you select a map it defaults 20-shows 20, and you have to change it down, so maybe that is what you mean?
